WHY STAGE MANAGEMENT?
What drew me to stage management remains what propels my passion today: witnessing an influx of emotion, an artistic lightbulb, a line delivery that resonates. These moments of discovery and reflection fuel my endless curiosity for stage management. I believe there's a principle of finding a better way to complete a task when you know no one will notice. I believe little decisions like these reflect itself in the art onstage.

WHAT'S MY STAGE MANAGEMENT "STYLE"?
Proactivity, timing, and intention are integral to how I lead as a stage manager. I believe in clear (sometimes "obvious") communication to ensure we move forward on the same page as a team. I believe in clear-cut delegation and ownership between team members. We are a system, we catch each other when we falter, uplift when we succeed. As an assistant, I work with the bigger picture in mind as I work in the minutia details to support the PSM's vision. I believe in the delicate balance between "working ahead" and, almost more importantly, being present in the moment. Overall, I know I will not know everything– but, the mark of a good assistant in my mind is someone who still aims for that goal.

WHAT ARE MY GOALS?
I hope every new show feels like another world to unfold. I love those pieces that either encapsulate or open up a sector of our city's vibrancies. My goal is to remain curious. I yearn for shows on varying stories, scales, and with varying needs for me. Whether on or off-Broadway, tour or in the city, I hope every show I embark years later harkens back with a "remember that show..." and a smile.

WHAT ELSE?
I'm a person-first collaborator. I love getting to know my team outside of the room as well as inside.  A little about me personally: You can find me cooking up some of Swasthi's recipes, playing with my cat Lalo, and reading some heart-wrenching fiction (Some favorites: "Americanah" by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, "The Namesake" by Jhumpa Lahiri, "The Great Believers" by Rebecca Makkai).
